Central locking in cold?

Hy.
Anyone experienced troubles with central locking (key lock/unlock) in cold weather?
It is a mistery to me that my key is not allways working. Today it was sunny and a bit warmer weather and it worked just fine. So - no chance it could be a battery thing.

It could be a similar problem to:
