Anybody got a "How to" for the LSD and 6th gear swap?

Perfect, that's what I was looking for. Any reference material to changing the 6th gear?

I assume you want to keep the Celica final drive ratio and just add the LSD & 1ZZ 6th gear?

Yes, to keep the final drive you swap the LSD centre into the Celica Crown gear.

I didn't delve too far into the 6th gear swap, although I now wish I had. It's on my long list of things to do, maybe, one day, because the corolla 6th is just fifth-and-a-half.||Cabby dave seems to think it's straight forwards swap as it's the top gear on the stack, but I view gearboxes as dark magic and prefer to employ someone who knows what they're doing to open pandoras box.

It is a easy job if you have the right tools to do it

Found a thread on a Lotus site which describes the process and tools required. Main tool is a three arm puller, which I have. The gears appear to have been made from some form of soft steel as numerous reports of chipping teeth.

Anybody know the cost of the Roadster 6th gear cogs or the part number?

You need the Toyota tool for pulling 6th gear off not the 3 legged puller

Anymore detail available Dave? Does it have a name and can copies be bought?

Is Wikipedia wrong ?

It appears to have the same ratio for the 6th gear listed across the range of C-gearboxes

Yes, it's wrong. It's definitely different in the Celica and Corolla, by a long shot. I think you can even use an avensis Diesel 6th if you want the longest possible 6th!
