I have problem with my rear window, its not tight when the roof is up and water gathers at the base. See the photo.

This what the inside looks like, I have the "ear strap" (16 years in the glove box !) but i'm not sure if the correct place to run it is there. It looks like something has been cut out of the inside of the top.  There is a "sock" along the top the window but the strap seems too short to run through here.

Any ideas ?

The second picture looks like it has had a replacement rear window fitted.
Just from the jaggy edge around the glass material.

Let me see if I can find a similar picture.

The roof is shown upside down in this picture, but compare the seams around the edges of the glass and look at yours.

yes, I see what you mean. What tensions the window section when the top goes up ?

The frame mostly.  There are some straps, like the ears one you have mentioned. That adds tension even the roof is down though.

Does the ears strap go through the sock immediately above the window ?
