Just purchased some new fogs (not DRL's) from Hamish - I would like to attempt to fit them myself   s:lol:  s:lol:  Does anyone have a "How to remove/replace them" please?  More fiddly than difficult I would imagine. Thanks.

Your best bet is probably Les' angel eye DRL thread. Same steps minus the DRL part

Sadly I missed Ding Day this year and a job that I was hoping to do there with a little help from my forum friends was to fit a new pair of fog lights that I'd purchased from Hamish earlier this year.  So this weekend, I'm going to attempt to do this (with help from Les's How to?  Wish me luck everyone, think I shall need it!

Changing any lamp in the front arrays of a Pfl / or F/l requires the small hands of a Japanese person / rear light arrays - No problem!! - The handbook recommends a Dealer when sorting Fogs!!

If you get really stuck and it's not an urgent job, I'll sort it for you at Beaulieu at the end of July (not sure I'll make a meet before that, but I'll try!)
When you know what you're doing, it's a 10 minute job. If you have no idea (which I didn't when I first did it), it can take all day!

Otherwise, there are 2 ways of attacking it. The first and possibly most difficult, is to entirely drop the front bumper. That's 4 (I think?) bolts underneath and 4 on top. Plus removing the front lights and some bolts on the side.
However, the easier way, a bit more fiddly, is to undo and move your wheel arch liners.

You'll need a Philips screwdriver.

If you have a really stubby one, you might be able to get to it by removing the 2 screws below the bumper and getting your hand in behind them.

One thing though. Have a play with the new ones first so you get an understanding of how they do up.

Thank you so much Stu.  I don't feel very confident in doing it on my own without help really.  There's no rush at all.  I need the car for Sunday so I don't want to start a job on Saturday and then can't manage to finish it on Saturday and knowing me I'll do something wrong!

You really don't mind doing it for me at Beaulieu Stu?  Will I need to buy new bulbs just incase?

Yes, no problem at all  s:) :) s:)  I have a spare passenger one I'll bring with me too. My drivers one was pitted, hence why I replaced them both.

If you fancy a run over to Gillingham I've got all the tools you'd need and happy to lend a hand. Shouldn't take more than an hour even if you need to get the bumper off.
