Nearside drive shaft knock

My Nearside drive shaft produces a light knock on take off . crawled under and it has a small amount of play coming from the CV joint.
What options have i and should i wait for a while or look for a new or recon unit?

How bad is it and are you 100% sure. Remove the boot clean it out and put some moly grease in it and see how it goes. If the noise is then definitely from the cv joint then look into a recon or low mileage one. I would say its not an urgent job personally

Cheers Tom will give that a try with some moly grease 1st and as you say i do not think it's a urgent job.
At least it gives me time to look for a new or recon
