Car Dealer Experience?

HI all,

Not sure which bit of the forum I should post this on.

I've found a car dealer that has a few MR2's for sale.  I wondered if anyone here had heard of them or had any experience with them?  They're Moses Gate Car Sales near Manchester.  I'm going test drive some of these at the weekend.  I've noticed prices are a little high too but I'm going to put that down to dealer costs, newer cars & low mileage - unless you guys think they're ridiculously overpriced?

Any opinions, even on the cars themselves would be much appreciated!

I've never bought a car before.  I've read through the checklist for buyers but half of it I don't quite know what things are and I also don't think I'd have the guts to inspect a car that closely especially when I don't know what I'm looking for!

That would be great if possible.  All at that dealer are more than I was wanting to spend really but if you guys think they're reasonably priced & in good condition then I'd be willing to take the hit.

Some nice looking 2s there!  Without wanting to sound patronising but if you've never bought a car before just make sure you search the insurance thoroughly as well before buying one. Some of the cars listed have none standard parts and trim which can make insurance prohibitive for some.

Yes that's a good point thank you. It had crossed my mind but as I don't know what is a mod and what isn't I guess I'd just have to ask the seller if it's been modified or not.

That's only up the road from me in Salford - if they're open in the evenings I could take a look with you one day in the week next week. I'm around tues/wed/thurs evening I think.

Thank you for such a nice offer Jonbill.  Just today my attention has been drawn to a MR2 that's for sale by a member here. So I'm off to see that this weekend but if that doesn't go through I may get back to you about seeing one of these at some point? That would be very helpful.
