Anybody been to Jack Smiths recently?

I'm booked in on Saturday for a new roof at Jack Smiths. Does he do the tunnel thingy for the ear straps as standard nowadays, or do you have to specifically request it? I'd rather not phone him again to ask, as I can only understand about every 3rd word he says   s:shock: :shock: s:shock:

Went at easter, i didn't request it pre the visit, i just told him that the strap was in the glove box and he fit it on the new hood. Hope that helps   s:D s:D

My new addition ( Betsy ) had a new red hood fitted from Jacks, by the previous owner, with the strap fitted but it still produced "Ears" Sorted with a sailmaker's Palm and Needle on my part   s:wink: :wink: s:wink:

Nope. Staying black because the red he does wouldn't match at all and imo would look stupid. Any other colour would look even sillier.
