Hey Chaps,

Have a FL wheel setup, alloys in presentable nic with no nasty kerbing. 205 50 15 Bridgestone Potenza on the front, 225 45 16 Toyo's on the rear. All tyres nearly new tread so a few hundred quids worth of tyres.

What do you think they are worth?

I just bought a set from Dick for £140 with brand new Avons on the rear but need to replace the fronts. Pretty good condition but had been refurbished (not original colour). I bought some last year that needed a refurb (bobbling) without tyres for £70 (then sold them for £70).

You've got mixed tyres so most buyers are probably going to want to replace one or the other. I'd expect if they don't have any bobbling then £150-200?

K thanks for that, I was hoping about £250ish with the good tyres.

Maybe I would get more splitting the tyres from the wheels, as there's about £400 of tyres with them. I guess I'd be happy with £200 though.

I didn't think mixing tyres mattered, I've always been happy on all my cars as long as they are the same on each axle, never had any probs doing that?

Cheers!

Don`t just don`t   s:lol:  s:lol:

Our cars can be very sensitive to mixed tyres(I have driven with mixed tyres before(like a granny though)) and it`s good practice to have a matched set.

Put them up for sale on here with a price for them as a set and optional front and rear sets if you like.

If you'd put them up 2 days ago I would've bought them for £200, been after a set in good condition (i.e. that didn't need a refurb) for years. Shame.

As said above, mixed tyres aren't the best idea due to tread/ grip differences, but can of worms that isn't worth going in to [emoji2] Some might be happy, most would probably want to change them to match. As you say, may get more splitting them (although probably not much more) but more hassle.

Most people will want to swap out the front Bridgestone.
Too wide in my opinion.
Fan of stock sizes unless you have massive power output.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Just as an FYI, I think you might be over estimating the value of the tyres a little at £400. You can get that set up for around £270 brand new so you might struggle to reach your target based on that estimate.

No probs, last I checked they were about 160 front and 200 rear but all good.

To be fair I'd be fine with 200.

Anyhow that's cool appreciate the info chaps.

Was that the fitted price? I was going on the price of tyres only, I got a full set of Toyos last week for £185 delivered, PFL admittedly so the sizes are different but the website defaulted to FL initially when putting in MR2.
Good luck with the sale!

Yep fully fitted on black circles. That's a great price! The smaller toyos for front are nearly 80 each on there. I always thought black circles were the cheapest. Where do you get your tyres from?

Thanks, not selling them right now was just interested  s:) :) s:)

Cheers.

Hi, not much atm just the picture I bought them from when I bought the car, the car had 15" on.

They aren't entirely facelift, they are actually a mix to go wider front and rear, 6.5" fronts ET45 with 205 50 15 and 7" rear ET45 with 225 45 16's. Fill the arches much nicer that the narrower 15's all round, essentially a step up front and back.

No nasty kerbing or serious damage, all straight and respectable, some bubbling and odd marks.

Cheers.
