Hi all,
OK  thanks to the nice peep that scratched my car 3 weeks ago I need to sort it.

There is a dent at the start of the scratch which im not sure what to do about. Ive spoken to a chip repair guy and sent him photos and he thinks its a bodyshop repair.

I know theres a few folk on here with experience so what can I do and what cost am I looking at.  s:) :) s:)

i feel for you .... 3 days after i got my 2 someone chucked a wheely bin over the wall at work .. luckly the 911 i was parked next to took the worst of it with a smallish inch long scratch left on the door (still need to fix it)

Ive got no experience here really, but i did have a dink in the rear just ubove the break light, i was able to push it out from underneith with the bonnet open, you might be able to get to the rear side of the door and push the dent out a bit if you get the door trim off. might not work but if it does you should only need the chips guy !

thats crap, urm, Id say it looks like a body shop job but i dont know much. Im claiming on my insurance for mine- its been keyed, there is a dint on the back, some 120 year old blind man reversed into me scraping the bumper, so Almost every pannel needs redoing. I idealy want them to spray it black, but im pretty sure they wont do it.

My Lexus had a similar, though somewhat worse scratch/dent a few weeks ago. I took it to a bodyshop I've used before - it's amazing how easily they managed to sort it out, using that filler stuff where they build up the dent until it's level with the rest of the car then sand it and spray it.  The only problem is that unless you pay for the entire panel to be resprayed, then it's sometimes possible to see the area where they've blended the colour, especially in bright sun.  I don't think someone else would be able to see it unless I pointed it out though.  Expect to pay under £100.

BTW, that's a lovely-looking MR-S you have there. I don't usually like bodykits too much, but that one looks very smart indeed   s:wink:  s:wink:

Thanks, im not even sure what type of kit it is, TRD stage 1 is it?

I love the car to bits, had her for 2 years now which is the longest ive owned the same car, usually get bored after 6 months.

Although I might be making the wellknown route up to a VX220, depends really.

I still look at her and think wow, always get admiring looks and people asking me about it and looking at the badeg when its parked up.

When you think you can get a car like it for under 10k its amazing, im not keen on the standard MR2's, sorry folks, but when i saw this with the extra kit on i just thought it made the car in my mind.

I wouldnt own a non kitted one to be honest ever, i just liked this.

yeah that looks like a small bit of filler and a blend in job to me, i think the dent looks a little to sharpe to be pulled out!

Shouldn't cost too much though mate!
