How many MR2 roadsters sold in the UK?

Anyone know how many 2's have been sold in the UK.  I read the USA market only got 5000 in its first year on sale and wondered how many we got.

Facts  are meaningless - they can be used to prove anything.

2004 MR2 in silver with hardtop, leather, aircon and only 1 door handle.(11 happy years together and counting!)

I imagine that Toyota GB could probably give you a rough idea of how many they've sold, but theres an awful lot of parralel EU imports in the UK, not to mention the grey's from Japan...

We can get a rough idea of total worldwide sales, as all MR2s have sequential chassis numbers, going by the VIN im my car, I imagine that they have built soemting like 73,000 units thus far.

Compare that 73k to a 100 million Corollas  s;) ;) s;)
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.
