The ol' whirring sound...

An odd one this, I really can't put my finger on it.

So the last couple of days I've noticed a sound coming from the front of the car.  It kinda sounds like a whirring under the bonnet, but also sounds like wind flow or radio static.  I've narrowed the sound down to front centre.

To throw another spanner in there, if I hit a pothole, or a slight bump in the road, the sounds goes, before then gradually coming back again.

It's honestly baffled me, it's nothing to do with brakes or wheel bearings, I'm new to the whole Mid-rear scene, so I know its not the engine in front of me haha.

Any ideas?

The ps or abs pump are your choices.

Power steering fluid, along with all other fluids are all topped up and fine, so I'm certain it's not that.

How do I check if it's the ABS pump?

The PS pumps do tend to buzz a bit Dan, even when they're in good working order, can't say I can hear mine while I'm driving but can from outside the car when it's stationary.

Yeah I'm used to a PS pump whine from my old car, so I'm used to the sound but this is something different.  I even played around with my radio (I thought it could be static or something from the speakers) and vents (because it also sounds like wind).

Honestly, it's driving me mad as to what it is haha.  Car handles and drives as normal, no other knocking sounds or anything unusual.  It's intermittent with volume and as I said, when I go over a pothole or speedbump the sound goes, and then at a random point, will come back again.

I'll try to get a video and see if the sound comes up on that.

Could it be a bit of loose trim under the bumper? Or a brake disc backing plate?
Ex 2GR-FE roadster. Sold it. Idiot.  Now Jaguar F-Type P450 75 Edition RWD. Officially over by the bins.

Here's hoping, I've had the windscreen replaced recently so I thought the scuttle may have come loose but it wasn't that.  I'll have another look in abit, as loose bodywork was something that came to mind.
