Hi all

My 2 has been off the road for sometime while I have attempted to fix issues with the handbrake which caused it to fail it's MOT. Over the weekend's I have had chance to work on it I have some how managed to loose the bolt that holds on the plate where the handbrake cable attaches to the caliper.

The bolt can be seen in this image if it helps:  m http://www.mr2roc.org/Repository/misc/referencelib ... kes007.jpg m

On the off chance does anymore know the Mr T part number for this, or can advise where to head to find a replacement?

Cheers

Rob

Hiya,
Can't find a part number for it, but what you are looking at is a "Rear Caliper Slider Bolt". (About £1.50 from Mr T, if I remember correctly...) Mine appeared to be made of cheese, and the heads were badly rounded.
The Sun is out, the sky is blue,
The roof is down on my MR2,
And I\'m grinning, grinning ear to ear!

I'm pretty sure it's not the caliper slide bolt Fin, it's the bolt in the image that does not have a spanner on it that is in question.
If you can get the one off on the other side, do so and take it to your local 'fasteners' quick Google should come up with something and they will most definitely have something for you. If not just explain it to your local Toyota dealership and most likely await the bolt on back order for a couple of weeks!

Oops, my bad. Didn't read the first bit properly. I would suggest a quick call to Dick or Dean then...

Did just this, got a bolt slightly longer than original, hope is works, if not can cut it down to size at work tomorrow.

Thanks for the previous reply, although incorrect my slider bolt has just been replaced due to snapping while trying to get to work on the caliper the other week, that can also be found here:

I will order one from Toyota to replace it with but with no MOT, other car or any time to get there during in office hours this time of year I will have to try this one.

Thanks for your help guys, fingers crossed for me as I head outside with my headtorch to try and sort this one   s:roll:  s:roll:
