Finally got all the parts of the GB body kit, skirts and rear spats genuine, fronts are Nigel copies, have taken the sides and rears back to the plastic due to some issues with the paint when I got them, how much roughly have people paid to get the kit painted and installed? Just want a rough value.

It's a very strange area, kit painting etc, prices seem to vary quite wildly over location etc but I wouldn't expect much change out of £800 for that lot. Especially on fibreglass.

I would make sure you test fit the side skirts before you have them painted in case you need to sand and reshape them like I did with mine.

I would say its probably best to fit yourself with tigerseal as then there is no one to blame but you if you are not happy. A bodyshop will not fuss about the positioning like you will.

It should also make it easier for painting quotes if the bits are not on the car as no masking and easier to move the bits around into the booth rather than a whole car.

The Ding Day paint guy cannot do fibreglass parts on the day because he uses a fibreglass primer first which takes 24 hrs to dry but you could leave them with him if you were prepared to go back up and collect them when finished?

I would probably start by calling in on all your local spray shops or e-mail a picture, asking for a quote to see how they vary as you might find the prices arent as bad as you think.

Just north of £900 for me at the time (a year or two ago.)

@Arthur £900 for fitting and painting? I've had a number of these kits fitted over the years and paid no more than £350 fitted and painted.

I use a company called carisma automotive body shop in colchester

@Topdownman your right about the fitment issues on the sideskirts

Have had a quote of £550, and said I should get some change back, that includes fitting and painting the GB body kit, painting the near side rear wing due to a number of marks from previous owner, and sorting the front offside wing as paint dull.

That seems a fair price, it will look
Great with the kit fitted

Painting and fitting of front spats, side skirts, rear spats, ducktail spoiler but I think I had the front bumper repainted with the front spats and blended into the front wings and bonnet.

I had my spats, skirts and spoiler all painted and fitted for £400 about 6 months ago. It was a fantastic job too, the guys normally work on top end stuff like lambo's and Ferrari's
