I recently splashed out on some Zunsport grills for the Engine cover and intakes of my Two. Fitting isn't quite as simple as I expected considering the prices. You're rather left on your own with fixing the engine cover grills in place. They suggest glue but that will be permanent and it would be nice to be able to take them out for cleaning. There are many contact points though so avoiding rattles will be tricky.

Anyone come up with a neat solution?

I used some dynamat type material I'd got for sound deadening. It's self adhesive and if you get it nice and warm really conforms and sticks well. Just be careful of the edges of the metal facing, very sharp.

An apt warning as any job of a DIY nature that I get involved in usually ends in bloodshed and blue language. On this occasion however I actually came up with the goods and a transfusion was not necessary. After trimming the foam blobs that separate the engine cover skin and frame, the mesh would slide into place. I then secured it in place with heavy duty Velcro. The result is held securely in position but can be removed for cleaning. Winner!
