Enginebay lid support strut rattle

The metal support strut which holds the enginebay lid open has started to rattle. Noticed a few others mention it but not read any solutions.
I'll experiment tomorrow , but anyone found a fix? I'm thinking maybe a second clip to hold it down...

Can't remember if I can post the fleabay link here but they don't show up with words you'd expect them to in a search.
Try "bonnet hood engine gas strut damper"
Others are available and the mounts that come are a little "industrial" but not as shown in the ebay photos.
