Anybody any experience of these compared to Potenza RE040s?

I had these fitted earlier this year.  Literally transformed the front end. I can't remember what was on the front when I bought my car  but these new tyres are quiet great grip wet and dry and the car doesn't feel so nervous and twitchy. Would fully recommend.  Shame they don't do my size in the rear.

I liked Bridgestone on my working day cars. I understand they were OE suppliers for our 2's but no longer produce the required sizes for all fourr wheels.
I do hope you have equally  grippy tyres on the rear wheels.

Like you I thought Bridgestone were the OE tyres for our cars but I've just got an Email from Toyota Tech dept saying that in-fact the car was supplied from new with yokohama tyres !!  :withstupid:

I've just  done a deal with halfords tyres on the yokohama's with £5.00 off each tyre they'll give us a code for MR2 Owners in the next few days

What was the deal price? Was that for AD08R's? I think I paid £402 with delivery and full fitting (valves, balanced and Nitrogen filled) - FL stock stock sizes. But that was last year, getting Merityre to price-match BlackCircles "incl fitting" price.

Just seen your other thread - regarding the prices and AD08R's  - sounds like a v similar price / deal: https://www.mr2roc.org/forum/index.php?topic=65592.msg772943#msg772943

They're very firm sidewalls, but so confidence inspiring: utterly crazy levels of grip right up to the limit and very progressive once you get over the limit :)
