Full Set of Power Steering Pipes

Hi All

Please can any one advise me, the best place and price for a NEW full set of power steering pipes from, e-bay?

Mr T, want £392.50 inc vat, e-bay are £125.00 which will be aftermarket has anyone replaced recently

Or maybe a second hand set?

I would try going to a branch of Pirtek and getting a quote from them.

I had mine done a couple of years ago with     genuine parts, nothing wrong with the aftermarket ones as far as I am aware.

They are only hydraulic hoses with fairly standard fittings on the ends - hence Lamcote's Pirtek suggestion.

I would take my old ones as a pattern to my local hydraulics shop and have them made up.  Probably £50-60....

Or you could get some from Rutland MR2 (one of our affiliate breakers).

This route has been done by others and was also recommended to me by my local mechanic.

The ebay ones required a ridiculous amount of tightening to prevent weeping. If I had my time again I'd have probably wrapped PTFE around the threads.  The plate that joins both pipes together had to be removed otherwise they'd have never seated home.

Someone suggested the ebay pipes need an o ring but without ripping mine back out I can't confirm if one was fitted or not.

Would echo the Pirtek recommendation if they'll do it.
