So after a mega frustrating day yesterday where my intermittent car issue forced me to miss ding day. I spent a good portion of the day washing and vacuuming her and re-cleaning earths (the easiest ones) and was able to start her yesterday evening.

Fast forward to today when I set out on a drive with the Mrs (nipper at his Nan's so it was the 1st time literally that we'd been able to go out for an evening drive together since I'd had the 2) and this happened:

You really like to get that MPG higher don`t you.

At least you will be able to cross this off the list of potential jobs that need to be done

I know right? Infinity miles to the gallon!  :D

I knew that the handbrake and rear callipers would need doing soon, I have even tried to book in several times (without response) with Steve. I had foolishly thought that they would be ok so long as I got them done before MOT. Ah well, it's not unexpected expenditure just wish they could have let me enjoy one evening of a drive with my Mrs.

I really need to find a local independant, reputable, reliable and reasonable Toyota specialist in the Worcestershire area if anyone has any recommendations please lemme know :)

You really don't need a Toyota specialist.  A good, honest, experienced local mechanic will be more than capable of dealing with your car.  So try for local recommendations on that basis.  Like: "I've been using these guys for 25 years".
