I spent some time today trying to remove the plastic frunk tray to change my headlight bulbs for better, whiter ones today, not made easier by the fact that someone's replaced the clips with screws!! Arghh!!

Anyway, I've discovered that the drivers side headlight unit is cracked at the point where it bolts onto the car (picture below), it means the light is wobbling and quite loose.

Is this part replaceable or am I look at replacing the whole light unit?

The brackets are designed to snap off, in case of an accident. Pop along to your local Mr T, and he should be able to provide a screw on replacement for less than the price of half a pint of beer.
I did mine a while ago, but I'm sure it was less than a tenner for all 6. (Beware, the fittings are different for a PFL and FL headlight.)
The Sun is out, the sky is blue,
The roof is down on my MR2,
And I\'m grinning, grinning ear to ear!

Sorry you can put new brackets on ?

Thought this was all one part !

No direct experience but I'm pretty sure I read about that fix on here some time ago.

If you have a clean break, then you should be able to repair this with two-part epoxy resin. I would advise removing the entire headlight unit from the vehicle to ensure that the tab is correctly lined up.

Something like this

Soldering iron and black cable ties should do the trick.

Part numbers for repair tabs are:
81193-17010
81194-17010
81195-17010
81196-17010

Just don't ask me which is which! Your local Mr T will be able to advise which you require but these will help with their search.

There are already screw points located at the back of the headlight below each tab to secure these replacements to. You may need to trim a bit of the old tab off to make them fit but you don't need that bit anymore anyway!  :-\

Now I'm even surer that I read about that fix on here some time ago.

Well, done @AmeR, I tried " search" but failed to find a reference to these repair tabs.

This does reinforce my long felt belief that information is a wondrous thing, even more so if you can find it!
