Engine Sound... Normal?

Folks, looking for a little advice, had the car serviced last week and since then the engine actually seems to have quietened a little, a bit louder when cold and its warming up but I expect that.

I am however still getting a ticking noise which I've taken a short clip of at the link below - is this just likely the Chain Tensioner or is there something else going on?....

What happens if you push a stick against the heatshield?

My hearing is not of the best but yours sounds much the same as my 2, which I believe to be all OK.

Yep, now stop worrying and drive and enjoy it whilst the weather is half decent. ;) :)

New timing chain tensioner and fresh oil works miracles.
After that, it's valve clearance adjustments to get it quiet as a mouse.
But other than that, yes they all sound like this :)
...neutiquam erro.

Thanks everyone that makes me feel better, seems to be driving fine anyway but wasn't sure.
I've never had anything but a diesel so not always sure if what I'm hearing is right or not!

It just had an oil change at its service and the Timing Chain Tensioner is on the list of things to change!

Thanks James - test drove a few GT86 last year but never thought to listen to the sound of the engine!! (MR2 is much more fun to drive....)
