Hello,

For a long time I have an issue for which I am not sure where it can come from...

When I release the clutch pedal slowly the car is shaking/trembling (not sure what would be the correct term here)...

Do any of you had the same issue or any clue on what causes this?

Thank you

Does the vibration disappear when you fully release the clutch?
Do you hear any noise when depressing or releasing the clutch? and are the brake and clutch pedals level in height?
I'm guessing your not having any clutch slip, but what mileage is on the car.

If it only happens when you engage/disengage the clutch, then something is faulty/breaking down in the clutch kit itself (release bearing, pressure plate or the clutch disc

Sloppy engine mounts can also cause this..   Particularly the front and rear ones.  A quick poke around with a pry-bar is in order!

The vibration disappears when the clutch is fully released and does not happen when I release the pedal quickly!
Both the brake and clutch pedals are the same level and the only noise I can hear is the "squeak" when pressing (which is to be linked to the moving part near the gearbox).

I don't have the vibration when pushing the pedal, only when I release it slowly...

I would think of the engine mounts too as the car really shakes... need to buy a pry-bar to test this...

@Carolyn from you experience, is it something easy to replace/fix? I know some people uses a kind of poste to fill the engine mount bush but not sure it will be relevant in my case though...

I cleaned mine out with de-greaser and then detergent, using an old toothbrush.  Then I filled the gaps with Tiger seal.  Cured the wobbles and didn't leave it too harsh.

You need to get it up on jack stands to do this and then jack the engine slightly to centre the bolts in the bushes.  Leave it like that for 24 hours to set up.

If it's the engine mounts, you should be able to replicate the noise/vibration while driving putting the car under load.
Another way is to hard rev the engine at the engine bay (3 to 5K and release), and listen for any knocking/clanking as well as any excessive engine movement.
Do you get any feedback through the clutch pedal, or is it the whole car that vibrates?

Thank for the test suggestions mate!

It's really the whole that vibrates and I don't fell anything in the clutch pedal itself!
