As titled really, clutch needs replacing, is there anything else advised to do at the same time?

I'm thinking gearbox oil (mt90?). Any other suggestions?

Ensure flywheel is flat and smooth.
A light skim.

Got the clutch - release bearing comes as part of the kit. Thanks

As Jason suggested, inspect the flywheel.  I seem to recall that you've been driving with a slipping clutch for some time, which will result in a glazed surface.  That tends to make a new clutch a bit 'bouncy'.

If the budget doesn't run to removal and a very light skim, then break the glaze with some 250 grit wet&dry.

Thanks C. The lads in the garage I'm taking it to will look after me (Former pupil, and I've sent a load of work their way). I mentioned the flywheel, they'll look at it and see

Incidentally, can the flywheel 'deglaze' itself after continuous use once a new clutch is fitted??

To be fair, it may have been slipping for a while, but I've only covered about 40 miles. I'll still get the lads to check it out though

I'd love to Jane. Not sure they'd be pleased though, they like the East Midlands for some reason.

Usually the included hardware isn't the best, personal preference would be to bin the LUK part & get a genuine replacement  ;)

I thought it was AISIN.
Maybe that's the gearboxes.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Will qualify my previous post.
Yes aisin will be stamped on it, but on closer inspection may reveal other names and part numbers as well.
