Hey guys, how difficult is it to change the gaitor?

Call the midlife!

Might help if you said which particular gaitor...

60% of the time it works everytime...

Sorry, I meant the gaitor/boot around the gearstick

Most cars you can just unclip from the top! This seems a little more involved lol

Unscrew the gearknob and remove it. Four screws holding the centre console in place, the front two can be awkward if you've got leather seats. Pop out the piece in front of the handbrake lever then lift the console up and off the gearstick, you'll need to disconnect the electric window switches if you're taking the console right off. Can't remember if it's easier in 2nd or 4th gear.

Anyone painted the console? That might look pretty cool

I have rubbed down my centre console smooth and sprayed it with rattle cans.

Could do with some more rubbing down in some places and needs repainting as some of the paint has been worn away.

Not sure if professional paint would last longer but not the end of the world to respray when I get some time.

That's a "mongo", stops the wind coming in and spoiling Patrick's hair when the windows are down...

That's hilarious, it changed my sh1t to poopoo lol If I do decide to paint it, I might choose a lighter colour

Topdownman

Why would you paint your poopoo? ;)

Fluorescent dye would do wonders for night time toilet trips. A UV light would do the rest
