S2000 seats, stock seat sensors/SRS and seat height.

Morning all,

Toying with putting S2000 seats in but have a couple of questions regarding seat sensors and SRS.

Is the sensor in the stock seats linked to the SRS airbag systems firing? I.e. if it doesn't think anyone is sitting in it then it won't fire? Or is that just linked to the annoying seat belt reminder alarm?

Just double checking.

Also those with S2000 seats fitted, how is the height of the seat base compared to stock (I'm 6' 1") and is the base height adjustable? Also what are draughts lime with the mesh panel behind the head?

Many thanks

Rockingdad.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

As far as the SRS is concerned, the only lead going to the OEM seats is for the belt sensor - I doubt it's that clever.

I'm also 6'1" and shall we say stocky? (Fat). I get in the seats absolutely fine.

Again, like the OEM seats, they don't adjust any more than forward and back and the angle of the seat.

You need to fashion a bracket (I made mine out of some old OEM runners and an angle grinder). Otherwise, they share the same holes  :D

Amen to that.

I proof read posts 3 times before pullingthe trigger. Only to find the glaring grimmitical errors a nano second after.
