Effect of cold wet air

I don't know if anybody else is noticing anything but my car is absolutely fleeing since temps have dropped and humidity has been high.
It's revving lovely and it's got a real urgency to full throttle pulls.
I know colder, denser air aids the combustion process but damn...

Anybody else notice anything?
I wish I didn't have a knackered exhaust now

The old turbo diesel bus loved the cold.  You should try Jack out in these conditions!

I have noticed that roxy is quicker in winter. Which is annoying as I'm very twitchy in damp conditions since I've had the work done.
And being winter in the uk...it's always blooming damp lol.

Not with the 2 presently. But certainly did with a previous tdi.

My 306 BHP fiesta ST loves the cold temps but the traction does not .

It's simple, colder air is more dense. It has more oxygen within it.
You'll also notice you use more fuel. Even in NA cars as more fuel gets thrown to compensate.
This results in much more power, especially in turbo cars. It also makes IC and CC more efficient.
My old cars loved the cold weather... As the intake temps are cooler I could turn the boost up a bit more  :D
I'm not saying I'm batman. I'm just saying that nobody has ever seen me and batman in a room together.

I know the theory but to be honest in all the years I've had 2s I've never experienced it. The Leons and the Audi yes, but not our little cars. Especially between 3600 and 4500 rpm.
The only thing that's different this year is that I increased the timing advance slightly in that range.
