Morning all!
I've currently got a wet floor on the drivers side and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I have check the rear bins and they are dry as a bone...any thoughts?

Cheers

Door seals?

Checked for any rips or roof damage? Usually where it folds.

Roof is tip top and nano coated (whatever that is) so i'm pretty sure that's OK. I had a good look at the seals and they look OK but if i am honest i don't really know what i am looking for beyond obvious rips etc.

Leak from the  windscreen rubber?

Can you feel any water anywhere on the wiring under the dash or on the carpet to  show where the water is coming from?

Leak from the heater matrix?

How is the water level in the expansion bottle?

That was my thought too!

Also check under the bins in the rear, as I have had them dry but with water underneath them from blocked drains / split in the drains.

The column that your steering wheel attaches to and goes through the floor into the front for the car (and to the steering rack).

There is a rubber gaiter in the floor where this goes through and they are known to split / tear and allow water in.

Nice one - thanks. Assume it's and under the car job rather than under the carpet job!?

Should be able to see it and have a feel from the footwell inside.

From outside its the frunk cover off and you should see it.

Is the water is in front of, or behind, the seat?

Sorry, I typed that in a rush, should've been more elaborate.
And for the record, on here there are no stupid questions, just things you don't yet know...
To add to previous explanations, if you wait until it's dark and put a bright light under the car just in front of where the pedals are you should be able to see the light shining through the gaiter inside the driver's footwell. (As long as you don't have the massively bright, interior light on).
You can "feel" for the tears but you're as likely to snag your hand on the jubilee clips holding it in.
For reference you have to split the steering column at the universal joints to fit the gaiter so if your UJ is worn as well it's a good time to do both.
You're looking at around £80 for the parts, depending on what TCB are doing the UJs for at the moment. (Other sellers are available [emoji23]).

Mine had a wet floor....and it was that the drainage pockets were blocked. And the drainage holes were full of decayed leaves! Cleaned it all up and now is fine!

If the steering column comes up as no good. I'd follow Tricky suggestion of checking under the bins.
I had a failure on mine there.
