My appologies if it was placed before.

I was rather surprised by a good many things in this film

A lot of really interesting stuff! And equally surprised at some. But, you truly can't argue that this setup works. That care is absolutely insane on corners
...neutiquam erro.

I'm totally writing down all the stuff he's saying about the setups with the tyres and stabilization.. I shall use it as reference point in the future!

Amazing insight into what is an absolute monster of a car on the Togue. The way that car is setup now with the sequential box and even more lightness, it will be even quicker than it was in the videos!

This is the car that many in the automotive world like to hate because it goes against the grain of all the debates found on auto forum discussions where  bigger brakes, double wishbone being superior and a lot of other technical narratives that makes one car superior over another when it is lightness, longer wheel base and overall set up can make all the difference . The engine is used with no cams or internal modifications. There is a lot of subject matter that makes this car novel.

Arguments have been made that it would not survive on a race track with those cars because of speed in the straights and long sweeping turns.

What most do not understand is none of these cars are race cars, they are street cars. In the real world most roads are not race tracks they can be more like the touge which are real roads and although you are not racing anyone it can be a lot more fun to drive if the car is communicative and handles well around sharp turns.

I could not agree more and say ´and thén some!´.

I have raced motorbikes and cars on tracks and street circuit all over Europe for 23 years and only point at the Nürburgring developed cars that are úseless on the open road.

I live my daily life in tougeland. Off the highway it is touge galore!!
The halowed fast cars are useless over here. Too wide, too powerful, overgeared, overbraked, overtired, overweight.
On just about all interior roads from the Costa del Sol to whereabouts I live, any near classic hot hatch will run the wheels of ány modern Porsche per example. Heck, on wet roads I beat those even with my vintage DAF 55 Marathon!

It all boils down to what I have dubbed ´the sports car conuncrum´:
Somewhen a few decades ago the definition of a sports car being light and nible for spirited driving has been overwritten by the marketing of higher end cars generating more profit.
Faster cars are most often not quicker in the real world but most certainly more expensive and car enthusiasts are literally buying the crap.

Very well written. Most people don't get the less is more concept and existentially see them selfs as more of a race driver with the carbon disk option.

Quite. Hence I put that link up earlier indeed.

If anything, the Spirit MR-S points out how well Toyota got it straight out of the box.
