Indicators and hazards double and triple flashing

Hi all....12 month lurker on the forum....coming home from work last night and my indicators have gone into meltdown. Flashing and clicking at least twice as fast as normal and sometimes faster. Doesnt matter which side indicating still the same outcome. Slightly slower but still too fast on hazards. All the bulbs are working and no led's have e or been fitted. Could the flasher relay breakdown in such a way as I would have expected no flashing. Many thanks

Should have added that when locking the car with the key fob all indicators work properly and flash at the correct speed. Thanks again

Based on you checking all the bulbs are working, I' be looking at the relay too.

I would try and check all earths and bulb holders for corrosion making a bad contact.

Hi just to tie this one up...it was the flasher unit...quick replacement from Ebay at £9 and now back on the road
