Car won’t start

Hi all,

Been away for 7 weeks and I did get someone each week to start it up although my brother drove it on a couple of occasions. Anyway won't start just a clicking sound when turning over.
Now is this a flat battery or something else?. I will get hold of some jump leads today and try it. All the lights come on on the dashboard. Could it be the alternator?. Thanks in advance stannyman

I had a clicking sound with mine recently and no turnover. I charged the battery but still no joy.

I put it in 4th gear, rocked it backwards and forwards and then it started.

Worth a try as took seconds!

I let my battery go completely flat. Car wouldn't  jumpstart. Charged battery off the car. Went first turn

Yeah. Rapid click no start. Happened to me after sitting in car having lunch with ignition off and headlights on. Twice. Jump start and blat on dual carriageway and normal service resumed
