Fancied getting my hands dirty and thought lets have a ply with some calipers.

I know, I will need (just makes life easier) one of those cheap as chips autoadjuster comperessor tools.
Having seen that everyone that has ever mentioned them simply went to their local Mr T and bought one.

Went to local Mr T with chips at the ready. Sorry Sir we cannot sell them to the public. Cannot get a price, which means cannot sell to you.

Great!

So, Has Mr T changed the rules of engagement or I just have a duff local Mr T.
Worth trying another?
Anyone got one they no longer need, as you have done yours and happy to sell?

Bossworld

Spotted this when I googled the part number - looks like it is possible to improvise

Failing that I think Toyota offers a parts/spares service via their eBay store, maybe worth a punt?

Thanks for the find.
Not seen that one before.

As Bossworld said yours is not an isolated search.
His reference to a Toyota spares site Could be another way forward.
I seem to remember seeing reference to this/ or some other tool! Perhaps on a brake caliper parts  web site.
As for your dealer being awkward, I would  not be suprised if that were the case as not in their interest for " Customers" to do their own maintenance.
Is this the tool that looks something like a nut?

Call the midlife!

I spent hours trawling the internet for one last week and couldn't find it. Ended up using the inner from one of the old calipers I had to cut open anyway.
It's nigh on impossible without some right angle, long reach circlip pliers too.

I just rebuilt my rear calipers today, I picked up this adjuster bolt from my local toyota dealer on monday, just gave the part number, they ordered it in no problem. Try a different dealer!

If we are talking about the nut, if you have no joy, I have one somewhere I can post to you to borrow.

Nearest dealer to me is 30 miles away and next to useless for items like that [emoji23]
