Hi guys,

Haven't posted in ages, mostly because my 2 has been treating me well but also because I've had another project to sink my time into (924). Are the MR2 breakers listed on the site still active? I need a rear driver's side light cluster (smashed along with the rear bumper) but I can't seem to find any facelift lights posted anywhere, appreciate anyone who can point me in the right direction!

Dick is still going

Mr2 roadster recycling I think faceballs is the best way to reach him.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Thanks Scotte, as a side note, do you know if the pre facelift rear lights can be put on a facelift mr2?

Rears are totally interchangeable, same as the fronts but make sure you get some with the right loom/bulb housings as I don't think they reach the holders in the lights, if that makes sense?

FYI, I've just asked Dick and he's all out of FL at the moment but there are three other trusted breakers on the FB page.

Ah thanks! I guess I'll buy a pair of pre facelift lights then, that seems to be cheaper then just 1 post lift and a lot easier to find!

So for the loom would I just need the part that is connected to the bulbs not the whole thing? (attached an image to be sure)

Yup, just the part with all the tails on it, it's the indicator holder that's different between the two, I think TECHNICALLY you could cut and connect/swap  the bulb holders but usually the lights come complete with the looms.
If you can't find any lights with the looms give me a shout, I've got some spare looms on the shelf I'm sure, you can have them for the postage costs to the club.I just don't want to part with my spare lights in case I need them myself 🤓.

I have pfl on the shelf too but same as you wouldn't want to part with them.

Yeah they are, however, my blower motor isn't working, I'll check the fuse and lubricate it in the hopes it not something more sinister!

Depending on the year it's a simple fix, early Golf motor available new for about £35

Just needed a little lubricating that's all. Put a new alternator belt on it recently and it's being an absolute pain going to have to retention it.

Check the alternator mounting rubber bushes, usually shot by now resulting in the alternator pulley running on the skew.
