A couple of days spent rectifying stuff done by others..(some of it very strange indeed) I won't go into detail here, and a general tidy-up of wiring and connections and a big hand from Jonbill restoring her original tune.

I'm going to use her myself for a couple of weeks and make sure it is all as reliable as it should be...

So Carolyn... where do we find the details???

Is that the supercharged one that had issues? Or am I off track here? Glad it's working tho at least. Hate seeing cars ( not all ) go to the grave.
Details please cos it was a post left un ended so to speak .

Maybe I am the best to give a wee bit of background to the 'issues'

The supercharged beastie was bought from Carolyn in early December and performed admirably for the next 1500 or so miles with zero issues whatsoever.

Whether significant or not a flat battery seemed to signal the onset of some woes, I had recharged the battery after a cold snap + took out the car for a good run maybe late January, 6 miles passed by without issue + then all of a sudden the car unexpectedly spluttered and ground to a halt.

After getting towed back to my home by the AA guy, I attempted to find out what the issues were, but was unable to properly diagnose.

The car was then trailered to South Wales to someone who managed to get the car running again, but not into a great state of tune

The car has since been trailered back to Carolyn, who along with Jon seem to have returned the car to its former glory

So this is the potted history of the last 3-4 months

Appreciated , but we don't no what the problem was or how it was fixed.
Are you still the owner or did it sell? Confused.com am I
Read about other bodges n wriring faults but nothing is in detail as such.
I would be good to no where the car stands now and who owns, very confusing for us out of the loop as such.

I can only comment on the ownership @Mr2paul, it still belongs to me, but shall be sold once Carolyn is satisfied it is in a reliable running state.....hopefully that is the case already, but as she wrote in her op. will keep it for 2 weeks to ensure that's the case.

The electrical problems that were found......outside of my knowledge I'm afraid, so instead of waffling on I cannot comment further

The car is still owned by Alan (Gibla).  It had to come home for a bit of first aid.

It will be up for sale soon, as Alan realises he's not the right owner.  It needs someone who likes to tinker.

You won't find all the details, I'm afraid, as it is unprofessional to criticise another person's work.

It is mechanically sound, as it always was.  It was retuned by someone who had little understanding of the car.

What started out as a loose wire, ended up as a car that didn't want to run properly.

An owner with a bit of spannering skills would have fixed it in short order.

I just took it for a B road spin.  It has an amazing powerband and really goes like stink.  Keeping it for any length of time would be very bad for my driving licence.
