For the best possible reason, I am going to have to let my MR2 go before the arrival of our Son in May 2022. I have tried all of the mental gymnastics that I can to allow me to keep the car but unfortunately I am going to have to bite the bullet.

I wanted to get a few bits done to the car before selling but unfortunately due to being let down by a number of recommended breakers, I have almost run out of free weekends before May. I also have to fit in a full bathroom renovation that my wife reminds me is more important.

I have tried to factor in all the work that needs doing into the price, but I am sure that one of the more experienced members will let me know if the price is off.

The following are jobs that need doing:

Rear subframe replacement
Handbrake cable replacement (adjusted before MOT time but is essentially an ornament at present)

Other things to note:

There is a hole on the roof that does not affect weatherproofing (leads directly into the drains anyway) but that I  was planning to replace with a Swansea roof.
Bit of damage to the rear bumper which was there when I bought it and hasn't really bothered me but if you are doing a full renovation will want looking at.
What I suppose is a water deflector on the engine cover has stripped it's thread - doesn't affect anything but the hole just needs drilling out and re-fixing.

Rear nearside tyre has a very slow 2psi per week leak already fixed once - more of an inconvenience to me as I just top it up once a week but I have allowed for new tyres on the rear axle I believe.

I have tried to include all the relevant issues within the pictures attached.

I am based in Ramsbottom Lancs. If anyone is based very far away but genuinely interested I would be happy to look to meet half way if that is better for anyone. There do seem to be a lot more southern members where you can enjoy the weather somewhat more than us folks in the norf...

Oil changed every 6 months and doesn't use any oil. Coolant changed last year with a new radiator. New upper oxygen sensors this year along with a new battery. Service history ended in 2017 and my Dad, who builds cars and bikes from boxes of bits wouldn't see me getting a service done anywhere but his garage 

I hope to be able to find a new home within the club albeit I appreciate it's not the best time of year, but otherwise I will either have to PX for the sensible replacement or find some time to do the work myself.

Unfortunately there has been a development. Whilst reversing off my drive to get the bins out my middle pedal went directly to the floor. Inspection revealed rather less brake fluid than I was expecting. There doesn't seem to be a leak at the master cylinder but rather one of the cylinders. As the fluid has already checked out it's difficult to tell, and I can't jack it up to sort it nor do I have the time or inclination to be honest when a full job needs doing.

Sadly, as the lack of interest here has potentially told me, the car needs significant work and is really a project for someone. It's a shame but the only solution for me is to eBay it with a very low reserve for someone to collect. If not it'll be off to the great car recycling plant in the sky.

I will offer first refusal if anyone in the club is looking for such a vehicle as it would be a lovely project once sorted, but it would need to be in a few days before I put it on the bay.
