MOT passed yesterday
All good few advisories. Main one for me is a damaged inner cv joint boot. Is there a guide to replacing this or has anyone done it.

It's pretty much the same as any other driveshaft to be honest.

I have it on good authority from @J-SPEC that Gen 7 Celica driveshafts fit, and seem to fit, and seem to be more reliable.

Mine passed yesterday as well...

I have. There are two approaches and that is to remove the axle and replace the boot which there are a number of steps you have to re-search. You also have to drain the gear oil.

I did a shortcut where I separated the inner axle boot by cutting off. I then remove one of the control arm attachments which gave me enough space to maneuver the hub further back so I had the space to clean up the joint and fit the new boot. It was very easy doing it this way.

My only regret was not taking pictures and doing a write up. However if you are mechanically inclined you will be able to do it the way I did with the right tools.

Make sure to get the OEM Toyota boot which has the right to grease and tool less bands.
