Toyota MR2 Roadster for sale on behalf of another member! (I know them well).

Car is up in Northumberland. In great nick

Silver with Black and Red interior!
One of the last facelift roadsters with a 6 speed gearbox and the fortified engine improvements first registered Xmas 2005 on a 55 UK plate!
With great regret this must go!

The car has been well looked after and is in great condition with everything working as it should inculding the handbrake and electric ariel.
Original roof is still in great condition with no rips tears or holes ( a testament to its general well looked after condition as not used in winter)
Black mesh over red cloth seats look great and in great condition.
Factory standard apart from K and N induction (standard air box available) and under floor cross brace and front strut brace to improve handling further!
Good matching tyres with plenty tread!
All O2 sensors replaced with genuine Denso recently.
New handbrake cables and radiator!
MOT May 2025
92k and rising...

Just to add: the front brace is one of Carolyn and David's super sturdy braces and the bottom brace is a Matt's TTE brace.
Top notch stuff.

Just noticed a typo on my side. The price in the title should be 3650! Not 3950.

3650 seems like a good price

This car is for sale again with a fresh MOT a few days ago, passed in one go.

I would absolutely love this but its a long way from Salisbury & I'm not great on trains. ::) If Angela hadn't got Long Covid she could've driven me up on her way to Scotland but she can't drive very far these days.  Also, I'd have to spend abit to sort the advisories out for next year.  Sadly I don't have the space or knowledge to do it.  Great car for someone though.
Ex owners of Chilli red facelift 52 reg called Chilli, silver 55 reg called Foxy and blue pfl W reg MR-S called Sapphire. Now 2 less!

He's got someone coming up form doon sooth today. Long way to go so hopefully he takes it home.
It's definitely a great car from two of the nicest owners.
I provided the brace, middle brace, a few other bits and bobs for it.
They came to me for any questions they had and when the inevitable o2 sensor failed and I replaced it for them

Nice, this was an absolute bargain!

I think a recent Pistonheads article has probably helped lately as I had a bunch of calls after it came out.

Oh really? Not aware of that. Yes that'll have helped for sure.

Crazy that it went for 2500 but they tried for a year to sell it at 3200. No takers at all.
That car would easily be 10-12k EUR here in NL...which is equally mind-boggling

I know this sort of thing is said time and again on this and other car's owners forums but I do wonder if the new MR2 due to come out will see a resurgence in interest.

I've been looking for another car lately (don't worry will still have an MR2) and - for the budget - I'm basically drawn to cars pretty much pre-2010 (my criteria being reasonable to work on, semi-practical and interesting). I feel like more modern sports cars are (obviously) very expensive, like unreasonably so (maybe not accounting for inflation etc.?) but they're definitely more and more difficult to work on.
