Does anyone have tips on how to remove rusty PFL ABS pump bracket? I got the bolts and harness out no problem.

However, I can't figure out what to do next. Should I try to pull the bracket back towards the cabin and then down? Straight down seems impossible.

I have found posts and videos showing it's possible but no "how to" :(

The plan is to sandblast and powder coat it so any bending or cutting is not really possible as I won't be able to repeat during reinstall :)

FL models - remove the 2 nut at the side of the ABS pump and then you have to lift up the pump and the pipes together and then just pull the bracket off downwards. I will take a photo of the pump and bracket tomorrow and post it here.

Thank you! Did you mean FL or PFL?

Yes, undo the 2 nuts holding the ABS pump to the bracket.
Ease the pump up so the bracket slides over the bolt and then pull the bracket off the pump - downwards.

Hmm, I will proceed very gingerly. I have no experience on how much "give" the hard brake lines have :)

The brake lines are flexible...just dont bend them too much.

I managed to free the bracket from the pump (by pushing the pump up and to the right, no pipes were hurt in the process) and drop it down onto the steering rack. However, as expected the bracket would not clear the rack, and I decided to just wire brush and rust convert it in situ :)

Dropping the steering rack will have to wait for winter hibernation.

Don't have to drop the steering rack...I managed to remove and replace the bracket.

Thanks, I will give it another go perhaps :)
