Two Bargain Bucket MR2s with Hardtops SOLD

I have two two's that are just sitting on my drive and looking for new homes either to get back on the road or dare I say, use for parts.
Car1 : 2005 Sable SMT with clean cloth interior. red hardtop, been off road since about April 2024 currently Sorn.
Working six speed SMT. Started straight up with a charged battery yesterday. Will of course need some fettling to clean off breaks and possibly other stuff to get back on the road if you are going that route. This was my daily driver for many years but
I've got back into old Ford's and I no longer use the old girl. The soft top has some side tears in usual place but waterproof (hasn't been out for a while).

Car2: Black 51 plate SMT with matching hardtop, red leather, AC car, approx 90k mileage. Working five speed SMT. Started up fine also. I have never driven this car for any length of time. I bought it and it sat for a couple of years then I 'sold' it to my so in law when his car was off the road. He MOT'd it and used it for about six months until his car was fixed and I got it back. The MOT ran out in June (25). Has a bad drivers rear quarter and generally rougher condition. The soft top is fubar but is waterproof.
Both cars are not prize winners but come with hard tops and the price reflects this.

I was hoping someone might take both to get them off my drive for £2000. If you believe Fleabay prices that's what the hardtops are worth and you get two free cars to play with.

Both cars are in my name and at my address in Hartlepool TS25.
If you do take both at the asking price, I will throw in a TTE twin exhaust. A six speed jap spec SMT gearbox(sold to me as such need to confirm) PS, these can quite easily be converted to manual. A spare soft top, Some Manual conversion stuff Plus loads of other spares I've built up over the years if you want them.

If you only want one of the cars the 05 Sable with red hard top I'd like £1200.
The black 51 with black hardtop £1000.
If you buy separately the parts don't come with the deal.
I'm just wanting everything gone to make room for a new project so PLEASE don't ask me to split hardtops etc. or for prices on the parts until I sell the cars, I will place another post for the parts if need be.
Sorry I've not had time to clean the cars.
You can come and have a look if you want let me know but I won't be available on Tues. 26th.

Hartlepool is a bit too far for me.

I would take the Sable if I could drive it straight home i would take the risk, how bad are the brakes.

The brakes disks are rusty from sitting handbrake has been off so should be fine. Had both handbrake cables changed relatively recently and a new rear caliper. Don't envisage problems but it has been stood for over a year outside. Obviously it comes without warranty so this would be at your own risk.

Hi, to answer your questions in PM, the gearbox in the car is fine the other was just a spare I was going to throw in with other parts to sweeten the deal if both cars sold for the asking price.If you were thinking of driving the car you will struggle to take the other soft top in a car with a hard top. If you are buying the sable with red roof, you can make me an offer for the parts when a sale is agreed but you don't need either to get the car.

Just saying , as  those who have been on here a while will recognise as a Stuism!.

I notice that your hard top is Black. IMO a very good colour for a hard top on a silver car be it PFL or FL.
