How to remove the door window trim seal

Is it possible to remove the door window trim seal? If so, how? Do they just pull off? I would like to try and rectify some of the paintwork issues but I need to spray right up to the seal. I'm sure I could work out another way around the problem, but it would be simpler if it just wasn't there.
