I'm considering selling my 2003 Sable roadster.

It's done 103k miles and was my daily drive for 10 years.

I have owned it since new in 2003. Over the years it's been modified with a few things and I'm debating whether to sell as it is with some nice mods or strip some of them off and sell them separately.

My question is there demand for a car with some nice mods for a bit more money or am I better taking some of it off?

Mods it has which could easily be taken off and sold separately.

- Sable Hard top and fitting kit
- Corky MSMB (the best underbody brace IMO).
- TRD Front strut brace
- TRD short shifter
- Dastek Unichip
- Markiii pipe.

Mods that I probably wouldn't take off

- BC Racing RM coilers. The expensive inverted ones which seem to be £1400 now
- Braided brake lines
- Hayward and Scott twin exhaust.
- Braided brake and clutch lines

I know I'll probably get more money selling them off separately. It's a great fast road spec and would make a great base for a track car.

That is a tough question and no single right answer.

I would prefer to leave everything on it if there's demand for it. It's a great spec with modifications assembled over many years. Many of which would now be difficult or expensive to acquire.

I would try the whole car first at a price you would be happy with.

If you can find someone who wants it with all your mods, great, if not you can take off ones they dont want or maybe if you get a good offer off someone for a part in the meantime swop out parts and lower the price accordingly (may be a good way to get a quick sale to stop you selling off parts they want!).

If this doesnt sell, then there is the back to more stock option. This is usually considered the best way to get the best return but involves more effort etc but should result in everything going in the end.

There must be people out there who will appreciate the car you've created as it is.

I would list all the extra bits with a value listed next to them.

Then the all-up price will seem like a bargain. (Which it is.)
