Ok.. so as the owner of a kanjo, please take this with honesty it is intended.

The paint is peeling. Literally the car has done maybe 5000 miles, but likely less.

now I'm seeing youtube videos where the chap that does the 1.8T conversions is talking about how the subframe is so badly wrong the suspension arms will hit and that it's literally dangerous...

The paint.. is unfortunate, I can deal with it. But the business of it being unsafe due to the geometry is getting to me. Does anyone have a qualified opinion?

I'd have to see it installed on a car....

You know I've never heard a single good thing about the manufacturer, and having seen some of their previous v6 conversions I'm sort of not surprised to read this.
Tellingly the kanjo frame store page is no longer (https://woodsport.org/joomla/index.php/newshop/104-woodsport-mr2-spyder-kanjo-subframe).
I've seen that video as well and it really would appear there's not enough travel in the arm before it collides with one of the bolts. Might be interesting to explore with firmer suspension and driven on smooth circuits. I imagine it's more of an issue with super compliant setups and general daily use.

Yeah I know what you mean about the rep... I haven't personally encountered an issue, I've got it on the middle setting and I'm running coil overs.. maybe that's why..
