Barely get that out of mine, I have to say. More like about 32-33.

If you do a search on this, the topic has been covered many times on this forum. I'm sure you will find what you need, but be aware, there are many varying answers to this................  s:roll:  s:roll:    s:lol:  s:lol:

Welcome. Hang around, you'll find plenty of things to spend your cash on!

As John said, everybody is different. Cars around here have very different specs.

Depends how and where you drive it. I get about 27 around town, 32 average, 34+ on long distance including motorways in 6th and 10 on the airfield. Somebody will tell you I wasn't going fast enough!

I normally get about 32 on mixed runs and that's having a bit of fun with her.  I did a 600 mile round trip to the lakes earlier this year and averaged 40 mpg (which is fecking great for this type of car!).  With the fuel prices how they were last week I've been driving to work like a grandad and with 1/3 of a tank left I've done nearly 300 miles - looks like I might beat my 40 mpg best.

I have just got this car and I've done 100 on half a tank, i could actually see the Gauge dropping, i wasn't heavy footed, was driving sensibly.

Do you think there is a problem? I'm going to reset my ECU and clean the sensor "thing." (Technical talk)

Any other suggestions??

With mine, the first quarter tank (remembering that the guage isn't actually linear, IIRC) lasts about 40 miles.. the next quarter about 70, the third about 80 and the last quarter about 60.. Depending what I'm doing, of course - I've had 330 out of a tank before now, and as little as 200.

The gauge is a lot more sensitive than any other car I've ever had. Just cruising at 70 I see it going down - well sort of any way.

Do all the cleaning bits if you wish, but suggest you do a "proper" full tank to full tank check before you start worrying.

I've had that sort of MPG before. Ran some injector cleaner through it, cleaned the MAF and reset the ECU and now get a lot more per tank and my foot is made of something heavier than lead!   s:lol:  s:lol:

Tend to do 50 miles of dual carriage way a day and get 350 out of a tank - works out to around 36-38mpg when I fill up..

I don't always drive mine fast, and use it mainly for runs along B roads with lots of twisty bits. It averages 38-40 most of the time ,slightly less if I blast it along motorways. (only 5speed box)  s:) :) s:)

Averaging 34mpg over 18k miles.

Generally getting around 32 at moment with roof down, and shortish journeys plus blasts through country lanes.

Highest 38 mpg.  Lowest (excluding track days) 29mpg.

As good as 41 mpg on a steady 70mph motorway run - with a turbo conversion and Unichip helping.

Normally though with an average week's commuting to work, around 32mpg give or take a little is what I expect.
