In that case I think they are the same.

Check out the thread Toyo S's vs Toyo R's, and have a look at the Toyo website as well. Between the 2 of them you should get all the info you need.

Check the edit above. I'm not too sure if anybody has actually mixed R's and S's.

There was certainly a thought that it might not be too bad, considering they are an upgrade from the same manufacturer.

Well I'll let you all know how it works out!  Can't afort to bin and almost new set of rear tyres at the moment and even if I can still find some T1-S I may as well move with the times and then upgrade the rears.
