My car was returned by the body shop this morning after having its front wing replaced and the bumper repaired and resprayed. Unfortunately the bumper colour did not match the rest of the car so I requested the car be taken back and done properly. This would also include the removal of the orange peel paintwork and the run I spotted which I thought was pretty shoddy, just glad it wasn't raining as I may not have spotted it.

The question I want to ask is this - seeing as the body parts for the 2 are bolt on affairs do they tend to come pre painted. The reason I ask this is because the wing was perfect and you would not have known it was brand new didn't look the same dodgy job as the bumper.

While on the subject of paint can any one tell me where I can get touch up pens / tins or is this another toyota only job.

Hi to answer your first question, no the panels don't come sprayed.

It just sounds like an unfortunate incident with your front bumper.

I would have suspected they would have used the same batch of paint.

anyway, you have spotted it and it's going back, hopefully this time they will get it right, as it's only them loosing money and time everytime they get it wrong.

Best of luck, if they do it well, you will never know it's been resprayed in the future.

Cheers
