Living in Cumbria where flooding happens on a weekly basis at the mo, some of the puddles on main roads resemble small lakes!

Anyway, on the way home the other night, driving through one of these 'lakes' which actually wasn't all that deep, water started pouring in my car through the drivers footwell where the peddles are. I ended up with wet feet, soggy jeans and a car that smells of stale water!

Anyway, i'm guessing this isn't normal for the car to be taking in water like this, but does anyone have any ideas what may be causing it?

Thanks!

my guess would be that one of the plug under the carpet has come loose, either way you need to do a bit of work now to prevent further problems because of the damp, to start with you'll need to remove the seats so that you can get the carpet out and dry it, your looking at a days work to get it out, sorry for the bad news but dont leave it or your 2 will smell bad  s:evil:  s:evil:
