Bill, welcome to the club to start with  s:D s:D  

if you go into the cubby holes behind the drivers seat, then remove the small pop out side panel to the right of the car, you'll find in there a cable mounted on the panel, this needs to be connected to the hardtop, you should have a small extension cable to connect the HT to this

I have just been fitting my hardtop and found all the information in your Toyota handbook with diagrams.
