Hi all.

Car failed MOT last week due to excessive corrosion on front discs  s:shock:  s:shock:  and looking at them now they look quite corroded and not under warrenty   s:( :( s:(  .
Good excuse to buy some grooved and vented one's tho  s:D :D s:D

I have a quick question on replacing pads. I have done a search but can find no mention of it.

Do i have to bleed brakes when i change the pads?  No mention can be found when i search but bloke in motorworld has confused me by saying i had too.  Was sure that i wouldn't have to but would like some clarification.

Your help would be most appreciated.

You don't touch the fluids when doing a pad or disc change.

It might be wise to flush it if you have big miles, otherwise just make sure it is topped up.

thanks for your speedy reply.
I thought as much but needed confirmation.
Car had major service 3500miles ago.  Do they change brake fluid in that?
Car has done 41000 total.

replacement of the brake fluid is ment to be done every 2 yrs with a condition check and top-up every 20K
