I recently had a prang in my 2000 - x roadster leather, hardtop etc - basically the near side wing, headlight, bonnet, front bumper need replacing, and offside wing and drivers door has bad scratches. Also both airbags deployed. Can anyone put me on the road for approx cost of repair? The whole front half of the car will also need to be resprayed in metallic blue

yes hopefully they are but as I was on my way to work they say I didn't include commuting in my policy ( didn;t know I had to) so they might not at this stage

...and any estimate from here could be miles out without seeing the car.

Could be £2K, could be £3K, £4K...name your price. What about mechanicals? Any problems there could double the cost.

Sorry to hear of your bad news as a first post.   s:cry:  s:cry:

IIRC commuting came up on mine as well, though there was no extra cost.

Did you give them an annual mileage? If so you could argue there would be no way you could do that without travel to work.

Did you buy it through a broker or direct (ie not internet).....if so go for mis-selling. If you weren't asked IMO they are at fault.

Best of luck mate.

Jeeze what a bunch of arses, pretty standard isn't SDP to and from work...they will try anything to get out of a claim, check your policy and see what it says....

<<rushes off to check mine>>

Yes, mine says SDP + Commuting in the cover and use section.
