I just got my new alpine installed on Saturday.  Sounds brilliant, really impressed although i have a bit of a problem.

I couldn't seem to get the aerial wire which was connected in the back of the old stereo to connect into the wire which came out of the new stereo.

I read in the manual about possibly needing a JASO adaptor although i have searched a few websites and can't seem to find where to get this from.  Any of you guys know a good source?.

Also im a little unsure about connecting the light dimming wire from the ISO adaptor to the headunit (the wire that makes the headunit dim when the headlights are turned on).  I have found that the wire from the ISO adaptor isn't actually going anywhere, and the wire from the headunit that should be connected to it isn't routed into the little wiring block thing.  I am new to headunit wiring so i am a little unsure if there is something i can buy to route this wire into the block or do i just cut the wire and tape them together or something?.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure about the wiring, but you can get the aeriel adaptor from Maplins.

It's a standard part, any car audio shops should have one, I think I got mine from Halfords.

I spent forever trying to get hold of one of the contacts to put into the other side of the block and wound up cannibalising another connector. If you don't want the aggravation of tracking one down you could always use one of the little 3M crimp on wire joiners although that would make it difficult to remove the radio. The best solution might be to use bullet connectors, but make sure you cut the wire far enough away from the connector so that you can fit a bullet to both ends of the cut wire, that way you can reconnect the old wire if necessary.
