Oh my god ... how many messages could I leave for the service department to get back in touch with me.  I have left 5 messages for Toyota Westlands to get in touch with regards to booking my beloved 2 in for a much needed 20k service. After being asked to leave another message I asked if I could hold this time and I was just on hold for about 5 minutes by which point I was horrible bored by the whole affair.    s:evil:  s:evil:

Oh the joys of having to use dealerships!  Sorry for the rant ... just had to vent some frustration   s:evil:  s:evil:

That happens to me every time I call my dealer.. they're always busy, and I get the choice of waiting, or them calling me back - which they hardly ever do! Or invariably they call my work number back after I've gone home.

It's a pain, but a problem I've always had with main dealers in general.

It truly amazes me to see the difference between dealers attitudes - I know I am always singing their praises, but William A Lewis Shrewsbury always answer promptly, and you are always put straight through to the department you are after, if not available, they (you guessed it) always call you back.
I'm glad I don't have to deal with some of the places you guys do  s:? :? s:?

I had similar experiences with Westlands, They're great when it comes to selling the cars, but after sales service is C$%p!! I too left 3 or 4 messages for them to contact me regarding a service. I got sick of phoning them, so that I can pay them money!!! So I took my car upto Toyota World, which is another story....

I went in to book a 40k service today at the toyota garage in Grimsby (Roe's?). I also wanted them to look at the alloys (bubbling) and brake discs (pitted) and try to get them sorted under warranty. I wasn't looking forward to it, I was prepared for all sorts of arguements.

However, it couldn't have been better. Cheap service (£218), didn't even want to look at the wheels, he was all for taking my word for it, can order new wheels in in 2 days. I felt like I was chancing it when I asked for a courstesy car, but again, no problem at all. I'm pretty impressed.
