Well the whole "not spending and saving for holiday" thing didn't last long.
I just joined the group buy for a set of Wilwood 4 pot calipers and discs

To be honest I was going to buy discs, pads and refurb calipers anyway so it's not as elaborate as it sounds ... Or at least that's what I need to say when my mrs finds out  s:D :D s:D

Car is going to be quite different when I drive it next time!

Only the fronts?   s:) :) s:)

Surely a full refurb would include the rear as well   s:wink:  s:wink:

Build is looking good.

Best of luck with the wife. You might be sleeping with those calipers for a while.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I was tempted with the brakes, however there are some terrible reviews on Dynalites for track work due to flex so decided against it. Had Midilites on my Nova and they were decent though, however quite a bit more expensive.

Interesting. We'll see how they fair. You never know if you don't try.

I'm not even 100% certain the GB is going to happen due to numbers if I'm honest.

I really do struggle to just leave the car alone sometimes, especially if I'm at home and bored (I'm not really a tv watcher!)

Keep seeing a 350z locally with some rather tasty track looking mods, and I noticed last week he has painted the Yokohama on his tyres, thought it looked cool so had a go myself, might do all 4 as I think it looks cool in a daft kinda way

I then carried on gutting out the lower dash centre console as I am making a new replacement panel out of aluminium which will house the following

- Gauge for oil temp, pressure and water temp
- Battery master
- Ctek charge point
- 2x USB outlet
- GoPro WIFI remote.

The i decided to trim the hard top plastics to fit them back on around the rogue mounts. Pointless, but I love to keep busy.

I've ended up doing a full circle on choice of gauge(s) and opted for one multi gauge, as mentioned a few months ago.

I've got one of these Depo ones on order now.

As I have removed the stereo and all the speakers, I removed the aerial and sold it. So I made a bung for the rear wing

Just need to glue it in place.

This weekend I'd like to get the aluminium bent to shape for the centre console and get the rogue seat mounts painted black.

Neat job on the plastics I need to do mine too.
Like the gauges, going in your custom centre console?
Tv is pants in general, cars more fun.

Yeah the gauge will go down where the radio used to be. I was thinking about having 3 individual gauges and making a pod for the dash like the MWR one

But couldn't pick a set of gauges I liked and couldn't be doing with the hassle of trying to make something look good enough without it bugging me too much !

I had gauges on my old Subaru a few years back and they drove me insane lol
Bloody boost needle catching my eye.

But I do like a nice gauge good sir I say  s:lol:  s:lol:

What you making your console out of? Aluminium sheet?

I still need to make my door cards and that's what I was gonna use after my cardboard mock up

Yes some 2mm alu sheet. Hoping to get it formed today.

I was thinking about door cards, not sure about them now. I've removed all the speakers etc and the door cards are very light, for the look and interior feel you maintain by keeping them, I'm not sure if it's worth removing them for alu replacements.

Incase you don't end up happy with the alu sheet (as I get the impression you are quite a perfectionist from your thread  s;) ;) s;)  ), another option is polycarbonate. I went for 4mm and bent it to shape which was quite easy with a heat gun.

I went for clear polycarb and wrapped it but you can get all sorts of colours:

That looks really smart! Thanks for sharing.

I have bent the alu sheet, I think I'm happy with how it looks. Been planning on placement of all the items I want on there.

I could cover my alu in the carbon effect wrap, is that just the heat shrink stuff? Easy to use? Looks quite nice like that, I didn't know how to finish mine.

The polycarbonate was £10.25:

and the vinyl was £9.99:

I have enough left over to make another one if I need to as well.
